Police looking for man after woman was sexually assaulted

RCMP are looking for a man after a woman was sexually assaulted early Sunday morning in an apartment parking lot.

RCMP were called to 9604 Manning Avenue at about 12:30AM.

The woman was grabbed by the man which caused her to fall to the ground, where he assaulted her.

She however yelled for help, which caused him to run, last seen towards Manning Avenue.

She did not need medical attention, and police say that the incident could have been worse if she didn’t fight back.

RCMP are continuing to look for the man, and are asking for the public’s help.

He was wearing a heavy work jacket, a hoodie with the hood up, a toque, with a scarf tied around the bottom of his face, and gloves.

Police don’t know the ethnicity of the man, he is described as having an average build, between 20 and 30 years old with a mustache.

If you saw or heard anything suspicious you are asked to contact police at (780) 788-4000 or call Crime Stoppers at 1.800.222.8477 (TIPS).
