Provincial government puts ad in New York times to boost support for Keystone X.L

The Alberta Government has placed a half-page, 30 thousand dollar ad in the New York Times to help boost support for the controversial Keystone X.L pipeline.

It says the seven billion dollar project is quote, “the choice of reason”, that it will add jobs, boost the economy and ensure oil is coming from a secure source free of political instability.

It is meant to countering last weeks editorial that urged President Barack Obama to scrap it.

The ptoposed line would take bitumen from Alberta to refineries in Texas.

Obama is expected to make a decision on the lines fate in the next few months.
