Food Bank is looking for help because usage is increasing

Due to government cuts in funding, the Wood Buffalo Food Bank Association is unable to run their successful Basic Shelf Program this year. The Food Bank needs some help.

January saw a 30% increase from last year, and February hiked 33%.

It says that food that should have lasted until the end of May-beginning-of-July, is being used now.

Primary stocks of canned veggies, canned meats and pasta sauces are being used the fastest.

It is asking the community to help out by donating at your local grocery store, to the food bank itself, or by hosting a food drive.
