Over $92,000 was raised at this year’s fifth annual Keyano Theatre and Arts Centre fundraiser that Rick Mercer came to headline.
There was wine tasting, exquisite food, music, a live and silent auction, and of course a performance from Mercer that no one will forget, ‘A Nation Worth Ranting About.’
The money raised will go towards building on dynamic growth in local participation on and off stage, increased attendance, and world-class and diverse programming that reflects the unique make-up of our community.
Director, Keyano Theatre & Arts Centre Alan Roberts in a release says ticket sale revenue just isn’t enough to sustain the venue, and that it takes support through events such as The Affair for the Arts to help offer affordable access to the arts.
