CMHC: March housing starts fall

So far this year, only Calgary, Edmonton and Red Deer have  more new housing projects than Wood Buffalo.

The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation says there’ve been 150 new houses.

Compared to 2012 it’s an increase of 46 percent.

In March alone though, Wood Buffalo saw a decrease in starts of 46-percent.

Last March there were 39 houses built, and this March only 21.

Alberta on a whole fell 4-percent last month, and the country slipped 2.7-percent.
