Enbridge questions critics at Northern Gateway hearings

The tables have turned at the Northern Gateway pipeline hearings in British Columbia.

Enbridge lawyers are now questioning groups critical of the proposed pipeline.

Spokesperson Ivan Giesbrecht  says lawyers want to know more on how critics built their case when it comes to spill projections and anticipated impacts.

The proposed $6-billion twinned pipeline would take oil from Alberta, to a tanker port in Kitimat to be shipped to markets overseas and bring a substance used to thin heavy crude back.

Final arguments are scheduled for May, and the panels report is due by the end of the year.
