Starting next week, traffic on Thickwood Boulevard won’t just be affected by volume, but by construction in Dickinsfield.
The city says it will be upgrading deep utilities, boulevards, roads and sidewalks starting Tuesday through till the middle of October.
People who take the city bus should also note that routes 1A and B will be rerouted
The construction will happen in three phases:
Phase 1 – May 28 to June 11, 2013
–> Dickins Drive north is closed from Kennedy Crescent to 50 metres east of Kennedy Crescent
–> Only Kennedy Crescent will remain accessible from Dickins Drive north; all other streets’ access will be from Dickins Drive south at Real Martin Drive
Phase 2 – June 11 to August 30, 2013
–> Dickins Drive north is closed between Thickwood Boulevard and Kennedy Crescent
–> Kennedy Crescent, Becker Crescent, Fullerton Drive and all other Dickinsfield streets will be accessible from Dickins Drive south at Real Martin Drive
Phase 3 – June 11 to October 11, 2013
–> Alternating lane closures on Thickwood Boulevard at Dickins Drive (100 metres north and south of the intersection)
