The municipality is updating its Land Use Bylaw, and wants to make sure residents get their voice heard in the process.

A public engagement session on Wednesday night will look for residents’ feedback on things like residential development, parking, neighbourhood design and commercial spaces.

It’s all happening at the Syncrude Athletic Park Clubhouse from 4-8.

From Press Release:

If you’re unable to attend in person, please review the open house materials online here (the materials will be posted on May 29; the existing LUB is posted now). Provide feedback to lubfeedback@woodbuffalo.ab.ca.

The Municipal Development Plan will be used as a framework to guide the revisions:

• Make efficient use of available land (Policy 1.1.1)
• Encourage a mix of land uses (Policy 4.1.1.)
• Establish a high standard of neighbourhood design (Policy 5.4.2)
