UPDATE: 3:41pm
The family of the man has been notified, and his identity isn’t being released.
It’s believed the van he was driving was being driven in a erratic and dangerous fashion leading up to the collision.
Charges are not being considered.
BACKGROUND
Police are investigating an accident on Highway 63 last night that killed a 43 year old man.
It happened just north of Grassland around 6:20.
Boyle RCMP say the mans northbound van, crossed over and struck a semi tractor trailer in a roadside rest stop.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene, and the person in the semi wasn’t injured.
Police say road conditions were clear, and have notified the man’s family, who won’t be releasing his name publicly.
