RMWB is updating its 13 year old Land Use by-law and wants public input

The city hasn’t updated its Land Use by-law in 13 years, and they’re getting the public’s help before they updated it.

It hosted a public engagement session Wednesday for people to talk to city planners and developers.

Project manager Pankaj Nalavde says parking was hot button issue with residents.

“They were interested in what kind of enforcement is happening to make sure there are not too many violations with regards to parking,” he adds, “parking is a big subject in this town.”

The bylaw creates guidelines for things like parking, landscaping, and residential/commercial developments.

Nalavde says the first draft of the updated by-law will be presented to council in November.
