Events Wood Buffalo needs volunteers and is adding perks to becoming one.
It’s started a Volunteer Incentive Program i- where every hour volunteered equals 1 point towards free stuff.
Festivals and Events Manager Nadia Power says it’s a way to give back to its volunteers.
“It’s just something Events Wood Buffalo has put together to try to encourage not only bringing more volunteers on, but so that volunteers feel more part of the events that we put on.”
People are still needed for Canada Day events.
As well, today is the last day to register to be in Canada Day Parade.
