B&E to local businesses leads to arrest of 17 year old

A 17 year old faces several charges after  police investigated a number of break and enters and mischief to businesses in Thickwood and Timberlea.

Friday just before 1AM, RCMP were called to the Cartier Road Athletic Park to find a building on the property damaged.

An hour and a half later they were called to Thickwood where a pharmacy, a nearby medical clinic and a Signal Road convenience store had been broken into.

With the help of police dogs the 17 year old was arrested within hours of the initial complaint.

He faces charges including three counts of break and enter and mischief.

He’s been released and will appear in court tomorrow.

The investigation continues.
