The Voice coach – whose singer Danielle Bradbery was crowned the winner Tuesday night – has a lot to celebrate as he turns 37 June 18.
“We are going to go to the wrap party [forThe Voice] and we are going to blow it out,” Shelton told PEOPLE after the big finale, which included performances by Cher andChristina Aguilera. “That means drinking our face off. No sugar coating that.”
And now that the fourth season of his hit singing competition is done, he plans to head home for some rest and relaxation with wife Miranda Lambert, who has been a mentor to contestants on the show.
“We are going to get on a plane and go back to Oklahoma and have a couple of weeks off and just chill,” he says. “Miranda gets emotionally attached to these kids, too. We are equally ready to stop thinking about this now.”
Instead, Shelton has other things on his mind.
