The city is submitting it’s Disaster Recovery Program application to the province early next month.
Once the municpality’s application is approved resident, non-profits and businesses will be able to submit claims likely by the end of July.
The city declared a State of Local Emergency which opened the door for it to claim financial support through the Alberta Emergency Management Agency.
The emergency was lifted on June 17th, and the city says it instantly went into recovery mode.
Anyone affected by the flood who hasn’t been in touch with the city is urged to do so.
