A memorial is being held this weekend for the man that died on-site at Syncrude’s Aurora oil sands mine.
28-year-old Aaron James Gallant, born and raised in Fort McMurray, was all set to turn 29 on July 19th.
His memorial is on Sunday at 11 AM at the Union Local 955 at 258 Gregoire Drive, and it will be open for a few hours for anyone who wants to come share stories and pay their respects.
He died at work on Canada Day afternoon after an accident involving a truck and a piece of heavy equipment.
