NEB releases list of Trans Mountain pipeline review criteria

The National Energy Board has released a list of what it’ll be reviewing when it comes to the expansion of the Trans Mountain oil sands pipeline.

It says it will look at the impact of the project on landowners and First Nations along the route, as well as the impacts of the pipeline on the environment.

But critics are concerned the NEB won’t look at the impacts of expanded oil sands development, or the end-use of the oil.

The Kinder Morgan line would expand from 300 thousand to 890 thousand barrels per day if the project is approved.
