Keyera and Kinder Morgan team up to build rail loading facility in Edmonton

2 midstream companies have come together to build a new crude oil rail loading facility in Edmonton next year.

Keyera Corp. and Kinder Morgan will build the “Alberta Crude Terminal,” at a cost of $100-million.

It will be operated by Keyera, and load crude from Kinder Morgan’s Edmonton terminal onto trains to go to North American refineries.

The terminal will have 20 loading spots and be capabale of loading 40,000 barrels of crude oil into tank cars a day.

Keyera will pay about $65-million, and Kinder Morgan will pay the rest.
