TransCanada says 'no' to live debate with San Fransisco billionaire

TransCanada is saying ‘no’ to a live debate on the Keystone X.L. oil sands pipeline.

It was requested by a San Fransisco billionaire to the company’s CEO and President Russ Girling 2 days ago.

According to The Hill, TransCanada told Tom Steyer he can still express his views to the U.S. State Department during the National Interest Determination period.

That will begins with the release of the Environmental Impact Statement.

A draft of the report was published earlier in the year which raised no major concerns.

The Obama Administration is expected to make a decision on the controversial Alberta to Gulf Coast pipeline later this year.
