Province issues RFPs for Parsons interchange, Highway 63 bridges

The province has issued three requests for proposals that would open up big improvements on highway 63.

The first one is for the Parsons Creek interchange north of Confederation Way.

On top of building the overpass, the province would also pave 2 km of a new road, highway 686, that would run from 63 up to the Parsons Creek subdivision.

Right now, Alberta Transportation says its goal is to have the overpass open to the public by Fall 2015.

The other two projects are part of the highway 63 twinning, and would see two new bridges built, one from south of Horse Creek to north of the Hangingstone, and the other just south of Wandering River.
