33 year-old pleads guilty to possession for the purpose of trafficking

A 33 year old Ontario man is paying up after he plead guilty to possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Wesley Wedderburn was in court Tuesday, and will pay a fine of $1000, as well as a $150 victim surcharge which goes towards funding victim support programs.

He and 2 others were arrested in March after a search warrant was used on a home in Thickwood.

It turned up 35 grams of cocaine, 10 grams of marijuana, $23,000, several stolen Canadian, American and Aviation passports as well as other paraphernalia.

Other charges in connection with the case were withdrawn.

The two other suspects, Markahlie Wedderburn and Nadia Llewellyn will appear in court September 24.
