Federal NDP leader and SK Premier agree on 'Energy East'; differ on KXL

The federal NDP leader and Saskatchewan’s premier agree on TransCanada’s proposed Energy East pipeline, but they differ on the proposed Keystone XL.

After a meeting yesterday in Regina, Brad Wall and Tom Mulcair say they are both in favour of the eastbound pipeline that would ship crude oil from Alberta to as far as New Brunswick.

But Enbridge’s pipeline which would carry oilsands bitumen to Gulf Coast refineries only Wall supports

Wall says overall the meeting was successful, saying it’s important to build a relationship with someone who is running to become prime minister.

They also talked about scrapping the Senate, health-care, the economy, and the federal skills training program.
