Driver dead after crash near Boyle on 63 early this morning

UPDATE 7:00AM:

A person is dead after a crash on highway 63 early this morning about 45 kilometres north of Boyle

RCMP say the person died on scene and was driving a car that crossed the centre line and crashed with a semi.

The other driver escaped unharmed from the tractor trailor which caught on fire.

Investigators are trying to figure out the cause, but alcohol has been ruled out.

Traffic was being rerouted but it should be wrapping up now if it hasn’t already.

RCMP say the identity of the deceased has yet to be determines.

BACKGROUND STORY 6:20AM:

A driver is dead after a tractor trailer and a passenger vehicle crashed early this morning near Boyle.

Boyle RCMP say the driver of the small vehicle died on scene of the accident that happened just before 2 at kilometre 5

An eye witness says the small vehicle crossed over the centre line.

STARS also reported to the scene.

Traffic is being diverted while the investigation and clean up continues.
