Celebrate Culture Days this weekend

Alberta’s annual  Culture Days is Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the city has lots going on.

There will be art demos, cooking tutorials, films, theatre performances and more held at locations throughout the city.

The city says its development plan identifies arts and culture as a contributor to quality of life and is committed to facilitating and promoting public events and festivals.

Correlation Studios Walkabout
— An open house for you to browse local artists’ work spaces while they work. Art supplies are provided for you to create your work of art alongside them.

Silk Caravanna — is a temporary public art installation created by textile artist Janet Procure from Yellowknife. This installation will be displayed at the main entrance of MacDonald Island Park from September 27 to November 15, 2013. You are invited to the free workshops. Some pieces from the workshops will be displayed as part of this installation.
