Cleanup at Lions Park from June’s floods are finally getting started and should take about 3 months.

The city will remove about 1-thousand metres cubed of sand, silt and other materials, it will grade the site, clean park fixtures, and damaged equipment and  infrastructure will be repaired.

The park will stay closed during the clean-up, and residents are being asked to use extra caution when nearby.

The Park has been closed for public safety after the flood which affected the playground, access to nearby trails and the Lion’s Club parking area.
