MacLean’s has ranked Fort McMurray as the 29th most dangerous city for sexual assaults in Canada.
The city was the second of 8 Albertan cities to make the list – falling behind Grande Prairie who ranked 25th and above Red Deer who ranked 30th.
The magazine says the Canadian rate is 62 assualts per 100-thousand people, but Fort McMurray has about 70.
It says of the 38 large areas that scored above the national average, none have populations of more than 1-million.
Cornwall, Ontario is the most dangerous city when it comes to sexual assualts, and North Vancouver District is the safest.
