The changes are expected to come between 12:00 and 5:00 pm tomorrow.
Alberta Transportation says this is the final phase before six lanes over the bridge will become accessible.
All ten lanes are scheduled to be in use by the end of June 2014.
Drivers coming southbound from Thickwood will be forced onto the bypass lane out to Hospital Street.
Drivers who want to go downtown from Thickwood can circle back up to Confed and come south.
That means drivers coming south from anywhere north of Thickwood, including Confederation Way, will be routed across the Athabasca River Bridge to downtown.
The phase is supposed to be completed by October 31.
