The National kicks off to sold out crowd

A sold-out crowd was on-hand at MacDonald Island Park for the opening draw of The National curling tournament.

The night started with the opening ceremony, and was followed by the first draw.

In a battle of Ontario, Team Howard beat Team Fanset 6-3.

Also winning on night one were skips Kevin Martin, Sven Michel, Brad Gushue, and Steve Laycock.
