Food Bank sees 9% increase in first quarter

The numbers at the Food Bank keep on growing, and it’s looking for some help to stock its shelves.

In the first three months of the year it says it saw a 9% increase in the people using its services.

The Food Bank also says it saw a 8% hike in people using it from February to March.

It says last month it brought in about 21,094 pounds of food, but had to throw out 1,149 pounds of it because it was expired or damaged.

But for March it says it brought in 300% more food than it did in March 2013.

You can donate at the Food Bank itself or at any local grocery store.
