29 y/o man caught with over $44,700 of drugs on 63

A 29-year-old Calgary man is facing drug-related charges after being stopped on 63 because the vehicle’s registered owner was wanted on two outstanding warrant.

Alberta’s Integrated Traffic Unit says they pulled him over north of Wandering River heading northbound around 3:15PM March 27th.

RCMP say it arrested him first on the warrants but then they found in his car found 432 grams of powder cocaine, 125 grams of rock cocaine and 20 grams of marijuana- a street value of over $44,700.

The man is facing three counts of trafficking, was released on a $1,000 bail and will be in a Boyle courtroom on April 22nd.
