A municipal councillor wants to see the downtown look a little cleaner.
At last weeks meeting, Keith McGrath put forth a proposal that would see administration finish off the demolition and cleanup of expropriated properties downtown by June 15.
He says it would help curb the recent issue of graffiti, as well as fix the safety concern that empty buildings create.
Council will officially vote on his proposal at tonight’s meeting.
It was just over a year ago that council officially voted to expropriate downtown buildings to make way for City Centre redevelopment.
