The region’s only 24-hour medevac service is unveiling its life-saving aircraft today.
Phoenix Heli-Flight is showing off its Eurocopter 135 to the media and stakeholders today.
It will replace the company’s leased out aircraft which started service late last year.
Phoenix was at risk of shutting down the service in June because of a lack of funding.
The Municipality gave Phoenix $1.5 million in funding for its one-year operating budget.
Industry partners contributed another $1.5 million to keep the chopper in the air.
