RCMP intercepts cocaine bound for La Loche, Saskatchewan

Two men are in custody and are both facing a charge of drug trafficking, after Wood Buffalo RCMP arrested them Monday.

Officers started an investigation when they were informed that Billy Janvier and Marlin Herman flew to Fort McMurray to buy cocaine. Police say the two La Loche, Saskatchewan men would be returning to the community to sell the drugs.

Mounties say they found Janvier and Herman before they left the city. Police say Janvier had two ounces of cocaine on him.

Both men are scheduled to appear in court next Tuesday.
