Finance Minister Doug Horner says he won't resign

Alberta’s finance minister says he’s not going resign over controversy surrounding Alison Redford’s expenses.

In a letter to the Tories, Doug Horner says it’s “blatantly false” that he misled Albertans about the former premier’s use of the government plane and other public resources.

Horner also says that despite what the Wildrose party’s is saying about him, he won’t let party bully him into stepping down.

The letter responded to comments made by the Wildrose last week. The Official Opposition is also calling for a public inquiry into Redford’s expenses.

Meanwhile, Redford’s predecessor says he’s disappointed to hear about her spending habits.

But Ed Stelmach says the auditor general’s report shows the habits of one person, and not the entire PC party.
