Suncor launching Kelowna to Firebag flights

Workers living in the Okanagan will be able to go straight to site, without even passing through Fort McMurray.

Suncor was given permission to run its own airline out of the Kelowna International Airport.

The fleet operates between Kelowna, Vancouver, and Edmonton, and flies employees up to the Firebag mine.

Suncor has more than 12,000 employees, thousands of which live in the Okanagan.

With the new deal, the City of Kelowna will collect $15 per passenger for an airport improvement fee.
