The Fort McMurray Oil Barons have added a former NHL-er to the team’s coaching staff.
Former goalie Mike Brodeur has been hired as the new video and goalie coach.
Back in 2004, Brodeur started 41 games for the Moose Jaw Warriors, coached by current Oil Barons bench boss Curtis Hunt.
He also spent time in the NHL playing with the Ottawa Senators.
Brodeur will travel with the team this year, and coach the goalies as well as managing game tape for the coaching staff.
