Prestige hosting Tailgate Charity Party during fighter weigh-ins

Mixed Martial Arts fighters will be showing off some of their softer sides before they get in the cage.

Prestige Fighting Championship is hosting a Tailgate Charity Party alongside its weigh-ins on Thursday at the Casman Centre.

Tim Hortons will be providing snacks and beverages for the family friendly event where door prizes and raffles will be given away. Kids, and adults, can get their photo taken with an over sized statue of local fighter Dwayne Lewis who is going for a knock out in the main event against Tim Hague.

Proceeds will go to the Northern Lights Regional Health Foundation and the Fort McMurray Mixed Martial Arts Association.

The event runs from 3:30 to 5:30 on Thursday, with weigh-ins from 6- 8 p.m. The fights start 7 p.m at the Casman Centre on Friday.
