Runners are resting their legs after the 2014 Fort McMurray Half Marathon.
Participants joined yesterday’s event in 10km, 5km, 3km and Kids Fun Run downtown. They made their way through the downtown core and finished at MacDonald Island Park. Organizers have yet to release details about how many people joined.
“Once again this event was made a success through the strong support of our partners and participants,” said Organizer Kelsey Stefanizyn of the Regional Recreation Corporation. “We would like to thank all our partners, particularly the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, the Wood Buffalo RCMP and all the community members who came out to have fun in what has become a popular annual event in Fort McMurray.”
It was scheduled in partnership with the Terry Fox Run, which took the same route on Sunday.
