Search warrants lead to three major busts for RCMP

Wood Buffalo RCMP say they’ve arrested multiple suspects this month after conducting search warrants throughout the city.

Back on September 10, police searched a home on Loutit Road, and found some cocaine, 10 grams of marijuana, a 9mm pistol, a machine gun, and cash.

35-year-old Clayton Vickers was arrested and is facing 13 charges, including Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Unsafe Storage of a Firearm, and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

He’ll stay in custody until his court date on October 20.

On the 11th, police searched a home on Elmore Drive, seizing 4 ounces of cocaine, 3400 dollars cash, and other items that had recently been reported stolen.

They arrested 29-year-old Mohamed Omar, 20-year-old Mohamud Omar, and 19-year-old Ismail Mohamed, each being charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

All three have since been released on cash bail and will be in court on October 6th.

Last Thursday on the 18th, police searched a Fraser Avenue home, where they found 3 ounces crack cocaine, 3000 dollars cash, and other stolen property.

Police arrested 19-year-old Rolla Jabak, 23-year-old Dezerae Brown, and 21-year-old Taylor Bowin, and charged them with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Stolen Property.

All three women were released on cash bail, and will be in court on September 30.
