Atco Electric crews are restoring power to customers downtown.
Officials say a breaker opened up at a substation in Parson’s Creek at about 10:30 this morning.
That caused the lights to go out for about 2000 customers. Atco says by about 11:10 a.m. it restored power in Thickwood, before power was running again downtown.
The remaining crews are working between the Newfoundlander’s Club and River City Centre.
