The Wood Buffalo Timeraiser is looking for local works of art to auction off for their event on April 16th, 2015.
The 2015 Timeraiser will be the fourth edition of the event which purchases local art, puts it up for auction, but instead of bidding with cash people bid volunteer hours to local agencies that need their skills and energy.
Last year 40 pieces of art were purchased for approximately $20,000 which went back to the Wood Buffalo Art community. The pieces raised over 3,800 volunteer hours in the Wood Buffalo Region.
All submissions must come from a resident of the Wood Buffalo Area and a preference will be given to emerging or mid-career artists.
The artwork will be chosen by a selection committee from the Wood Buffalo Art Community.
The submission deadline is Thursday February 26th, 2015 at 4:30PM.
