Crew starts first team build for Habitat for Humanity

Volunteers grabbed their gear and put in work for  Habitat for Humanity Wood Buffalo’s first team build.

Yesterday, Nalco Champion donated $7,500 to the organization, and spent a day on the build site on Greenbrier Bay.

It’s part of the group’s Adopt-A-Day Program which gives corporate teams a day to help build a Habitat home.

This is Habitat for Humanity’s fourth home in the region. The goal is to have the home available to the family, and hold the Key Ceremony, before Christmas.

HFH is getting some more help today. Traine Construction and Highstreet will be making a $10,000 donation to the organization today.  The cheque will be handed over during the Grand Opening ceremony for their new condo development on Denholm Gate at 4:00 p.m. today.
