Chrysler recalls 4,300 trucks

Chrysler has recalled 4,356 trucks in Canada, part of a 67,000 recall across North America.

The models in question are the Dodge Dakota, Dodge Ram 1500, 2500, 3500 and Mitsubishi Raider pickups that were made between June 2005 and July 2006.

A clutch issue may allow the trucks to be started without having the clutch engaged.

One child died in the United-States after another boy struck him with a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 which he started without pressing the clutch.

Chrysler says the issue could lead to the trucks not starting properly or moving forward when the ignition key is turned.
