Balmy temperatures are prompting officials to stop heavy loads from travelling on the Fort Chipewyan Winter Road.
The Municipality dropped the load limit on the road to 5,000 kg. The change is in effect until further notice.
The RMWB says protocol is to close the road to heavy loads at temperatures above -5 C.
Changes in the weather may force the road to close with little to no warning.
