The 2015 Jayman Built MS Walk will be held on Saturday, May. 30, 2015.

Information on start times and locations will be released at a later date.

In 2014, the MS Walk saw a 249% increase in participation and a 233% increase in dollars raised, taping out at 129 participants and $44,000 raised.

Funds raised go towards local programming, client services and client needs, and multiple sclerosis research.

“Being one of our largest fundraisers, the MS Walk is very important not only for the support it allows for our clients and their families, but for the promotion of MS awareness and MS education to the community”, said Cait Evans, Coordinator of Client Services & Development, MS Society of Canada, Fort McMurray Region. “The purpose of the MS Walk is to raise funds and awareness which will further enable us to deliver quality programs to people affect by MS, as well as continue to support MS research.”

If you register yourself or your team before Jan. 31, 2015 you will be entered for a chance to win a vacation package worth $1,500.

There are an estimated 20-30 people living with Multiple Sclerosis in the Wood Buffalo region.
