Northstar Ford’s 4th Annual Charity Poker Tournament was another resounding success, giving back to the community in a significant way.
124 philanthropists helped to raise more than $102,000 with the rest of the funds supporting the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
The Northern Lights Health Foundation is getting a boost in support with over $51,000.
Spokesperson Susanne Chaffey, says “The Health Foundation is thrilled to have been selected as one of NorthStar’s chosen charities for their Annual Charity Poker Tournament!”
She thanks “NorthStar Ford and all of the event supporters for making this event such a success”.
The hospital says the funds will go to support palliative care services, offering a more home-like atmosphere for patients and their families.
Since 1998, Northstar has given over 430-thousand dollars to the Health Foundation while the tournament has made over 380-thousand dollars for charities.
