The election results from the Ward 1 By-Election are now official.
Colleen Tatum is the new Councillor with over 1-thousand votes in her favour.
The official results are:
Dogar, Mohammed Shafiq with 324 (10.15%) votes.
Doleman, Veronica with 546 (17.11%) votes.
Durocher, Mike with 220 (6.89%) votes.
Flett, Christopher T. with 327 (10.25%) votes.
Murphy, Verna with 627 (19.65%) votes.
Tatum, Colleen with 1,020 (31.96%) votes.
Vickerson, Monte with 127 (3.98%) votes.
Voter turnout was very low at just under six per cent or around three thousand people. To put this in perspective, there are about 57-thousand eligible voters in the ward.
