Get ready to hit the greens. Miskanaw Golf Club is opening the old back nine holes for players at 10 a.m. on Friday.
Associate Professional Shaun Westhaver says things are looking good for the courses new holes.
“The winter was kind to the golf course. We have four new holes that opened at the end of the season last year and they came through great. We’re really excited about getting going,” says Westhaver.
The rest of the course will open once the weather warms up. Officials are also watching for any flooding from river break, which usually occurs in the course’s low-lying areas.
Westhaver says the club is putting some finishing touches on the course, but construction is finally done.
Booking for tee times will be available beginning today at 1 p.m.
