Fort McMurray Ski Patrol recruiting for 2015-2016 season

We may not want to be thinking about the upcoming winter just yet but the Fort McMurray Ski patrol is actively recruiting new members for the 2015-2016 season.

If you love to ski or snow board, are over 18, and are looking for a way to enhance your skills, the Fort McMurray Ski Patrol wants you.

The volunteer service keeps people safe at Vista Ridge and at community events across Wood Buffalo and when you volunteer your time a few days a month you get free first aid training and some equipment paid for.

There’s an open house Sept. 1st and 2nd and more details available at fortmcmurrayskipatrol.com. The first training session this year is September 28th at the Bob Lamb Centre from 7-10 p.m.

The Ski Patrol is part of the National Canadian Ski Patrol (CSP) organization consisting of almost 5000 volunteer ski patrollers at over 230 ski areas from coast to coast. The Fort McMurray zone ski patrol group have provided first aid services for the Fort McMurray area since 1982.
