On this week’s show…

Mike Duffy has been acquitted of all 31 charges of fraud, breach of trust, and bribery. We have complete coverage, starting with Nick Kohler of Maclean’s, who provides the colour of the court room. We also speak with lawyer Michael Spratt about the judge’s criticisms of the crown and what this verdict will mean for the legal cases against other Senators.

Now that Senator Duffy has been cleared, he may have an awkward return to the upper chamber. We speak with one Conservative Senator who voted to suspend Duffy at the height of the expense scandal, and then we hear from another Senator who had defended Duffy from the start.

It was a happy 420 for many Canadians. On Wednesday the Health Minister announced the government will introduce legislation to legalize marijuana by spring 2017. We speak with the Minister about the pot task force & decriminalization.

And later in the show we discuss the Attawapiskat suicide crisis with Indigenous affairs minister Carolyn Bennett.
