Phased re-entry for oilsands camps in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is now underway. Monday morning the RMWB announced that camps along the AOSTRA corridor including Suncor Baseline and MacKay River Camps, all Brion camps, Birch Mountain Camp, Sunshine Camp, and production facilities by AOSTRA road can now be assessed to return to regular operations.

On the south side of Fort McMurray Athabasca Oil Corporation, Hangingstone, Great Sand Tiger, JACOS, and Grayling Creek Fire base can also start assessment work.

Guest occupancy at any of the camps is not permitted until Alberta Agriculture and Forestry and Alberta Health Services have completed inspections of the facilities to ensure safe conditions for workers.

The mandatory evacuation order for Fort McMurray and Anzac is still in place.
